INTRODUCING TOPRUT
| Jan. 18, 2016 | Site News

For the last several months, we've gotten to know the numbers. Western hunting numbers that is. From draw odds to harvest data, population surveys to tag fees, we've been on a state by state mission to compile and organize draw and unit data.

Now we want you to have it.

With Toprut, we are building the most accessible and freely available western big game hunting reference ever. Initially, our focus is on the facts. The state published numbers and reports that help you figure out when and where to apply this year. If you like to research and explore hunts across the west each application season, Toprut is for you.

Toprut is truly a work in progress and we’ll be releasing new things frequently. Collectively we’ve decided that releasing accurate and useful draw data in time for the 2016 application season is the most important goal for the next few months. As a result, the site design may look unpolished in areas as we continue to build out. But like every new venture, we have some very exciting plans for the future.

Near term our goal is to release the information we have compiled in roughly the same order that the state's big game application periods occur. Initially we are going to be focusing on getting the draw information for elk, deer and antelope out first.

We want your feedback! Ultimately the Toprut community will drive the direction we take and your thoughts are not only appreciated, they are essential. Contact us.

Welcome to Toprut.
