GOOGLE EARTH UNIT MAPS
| July 5, 2016 | Hunt Research

We are pleased to release our FREE Google Earth KML unit overlays for 11 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Since it's release in 2001, Google Earth has been the go-to desktop scouting tool for the dedicated western hunter. It's a fantastic piece of free software and the majority of experienced hunters are familiar with the basics of using Google Earth for preseason planning. But the real power of Google Earth can be it's ability to overlay additional layers on top of the standard satellite imagery.

We've gathered and compiled GIS data from the U.S Forest Service, U.S Geological Survey, U.S. Department of the Interior, BLM and state wildlife agencies to create unit specific Google Earth KML files that are freely available. Included in these files are unit boundaries, land ownership boundaries, USFS wilderness areas, 24k topographic overlays, roads and more. Additional layers from other data sources are on the way!
