Winter has settled in and that means it's time to start thinking about hunt applications again! The 2017 Utah big game application period opens on January 26 and runs through March 2.
Be aware, Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources has made one major change this year that will affect the state's deer hunters. If you draw any general season deer hunt choice, 1st thru 5th, you will lose your preference points. In the past, hunters lost their preference points only if they drew their first choice.
